We finally have a Republican in the WH that fights the corrupt MSM, and he beats them! They are going berserk because they no longer can bully an American president with threats. I hope he tames the press, once and for all. Most Americans are fed up with elitist reporters and columnists. Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution already takes care of that as does Article II, Section 2. One says Congress is the only body that can declare war. The second names the President as Commander in Chief. Maybe if we went back to actually having to debate and declare war prior to bombing and invading countries and destroying them, we wouldn't have the problems we have today. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Instead of offering cheap bromides about grammar and President Trump's accurate assessment of Kim, perhaps Limerick could just once offer a useful suggestion about what the US should do to counteract the existential threat which NK poses to the US and its allies. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Its time for a DOJ-Grand Jury to investigate, including the Mayor and Council for fraud and corruption. P.S. even if you support rail, its corrupt! AND there still has not been any truth for future$$: 1) How much will the new Electric Grid and Power Plant cost for rail? 2)How much will upkeep on rusting parts and substandard materials cost/yr(some experts say 100sM$...can you say "Stadium"?) 3) law suits and outcry about crime and destruction of cars run without conductor or security(yes Japan etc have personnel on all their trains). | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Costco makes more off their membership fees than anything else, about 2.5 billions in pure profit. It's ironic that people pay a fee to make purchases at a store. I see more people there than anywhere else. For a mere $1500.-- CAD you get to pitch your plan to the man. So, it's like an ante. After that, I imagine it gets really good and lucrative for those involved. For the rest of the people, those costs are made public while the profits are private. That kind of corruption is historic and not likely to subside unless we move from the traditional Liberal/Conservative corporatism towards a new NDP that isn't weird or carbon tax based. Switching from Tweedledee to Tweedledum is so yesterday. The current NDP isn't ready for prime time. Under real leadership that makes change happen the NDP could bring us out of this recurring pro business governments spending to help rich avoid taxes and save | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

World war two was extremely ambiguous. Germans who were attempting to overthrow hitler met the same international response as the generals who wanted to overthrow Hussein. I know numerous veterans, even when the cause is just (and soldiers are always told it is so) the actions aren't necessarily (or usually). Almost any veteran will tell you that, usually after a few drinks. Even in ww2 british officers stood at the back to shoot deserters. If you think there is nothing 'morally ambiguous' about atomic bombing civilian populations and murdering millons of them, you need to take a course in ethics. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

I just browsed 50+ comments and decided to pop into Google and search, and what I take out of that is: nobody knows. Economists disagree. Of course the US government is not the ultimate source of information, but still, the Department of Labor has a web page on myths : http://www.dol.gov/featured/minimum-wage/mythbuster . They dispute the "myth" (their word) that workers will lose jobs, and the "myth" that small business can't afford it. Seems like good reading for people who care enough to comment here. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |
