Now that this is also happening in the Bering Sea we may next see sea mammal and salmon deaths. Trump wants to increase the use of coal and oil. He wants to get rid of clean water regulations and the EPA....is the Pebble Mine next? Call the congressional delegation....tell them no! His ignorance and arrogance are threatening our lives. We are running out of time. Jobs are not real helpful when one is dying of starvation or lack of water as is beginning to happen in some parts of the world...and as predicted. So, Bannon's words rang true, and he noted how Corker had thrown in the towel. Bannon said the big lesson is that the establishment candidates are running scared, they can be beat by the People alone, and Judge Moore, that night, noted that one good anti-establishment candidate had told him that this race has been the factor for him deciding to run against another establishment candidate. The Trump base commenting on the Breitbart comment boards were questioning why Trump was supporting this establishment Swamp Creature, with many seeing it as a move he needed to do to try to placate McConnell, and others thinking that Trump was playing 3 D chess. Oliver supported the 458 million dollars the party spent to attempt to use their position to weaken the rights of Canadian by calling it a liberal democracy? The laws in our Criminal Code for the use and gain from fake news should be applied to Harper and every one who served under him, as well as any opposition who voted for every legal failure Harper attempted to make into law! That is a true democracy! No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Sanctuary from what? From my meager reading of history Sanctuary was always in a church when someone unjustly accused fled ruthless, jackbooted police or solders. I don’t recall seeing many of that type skulking around Langley? So from reading the Record article is sanctuary from the law for criminals falsely accused or perhaps the rightfully accused? So unless we are talking a bout drunk drivers who killed someone or arsonists I guess we are talking about just plain old illegal aliens here illegally, breaking the law of the land? So this begs the question of what laws do we want to ignore? Isn’t illegal just illegal period? Who gets to pick and chose what law to ignore? Who gets to put its stamp of approval on breaking one law over another, the Langley Ethics Committee? Somehow this sounds like anarchy. Perhaps they should make their house a sanctuary, house them, feed them, pay for their medical? Not going to happen is it. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Peopl…Dentists that push Fluoridation is like a mechanic using Stop Leak in your radiator. Pretty soon the radiator clogs and your engine is trashed. People from KY, TN and GA will admit that toothless is a way of life for a lot of people. Main causes? Mountain Dew and poor hygiene. Fluoridation of the water causes Fluorosis in young children. The University of Columbia School of Dentistry, and numerous others, recommend children under 2 are not given Fluoride. I just love the way they say that if you get Fluorosis your teeth can be whitened or you can get veneers. Fine! All Dentists who push for Fluoridation should supply free whitening and Veneers. Just as a matter of interest, the decay rates in both Calgary w/o fluoride and Edmonton w/fluoride increased in the latest study. Calgary has traditionally been higher than Edmonton even when both added fluoride. Telling half the story is not ethical. http://www.calgary.ca/citycouncil/ward-7/Pages/News/Fluoride-and-Tooth-Decay-Study.aspx No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Homelessness and begging should not be a crime. And there's no excuse for chronic homelessness in our wealthy country. Haters can make all the excuses they want, like, "They (beggars) won't accept a job", but the truth is the jobs out there are not living wage jobs. Even if a person killed himself trying to hold down two or three low wages jobs, he can't make it without help. Our society needs to change the way it views the marginalized, stop making excuses for the widening income gap, and offer a hand up to those who are doing their best to make it in the world. Why does that excuse only work for liberal Democrats? It isn't as if Sessions had some sort of clandestine tarmac chat with the Russian, right? Sick to tears of the hypocrisy, ya'll. This is nothing but a witch hunt from a bunch of self-impressed bootyhurts that were CONVINCED it was Hillary Clinton's "turn". For 8 years we watched the previous administration break laws and violate the Constitution. Those cases are going to bog down our courts for the next decade if not longer. Bogus recess appointments, illegal punitive boards chocked full of political donors, unelected and unaccountable. All because Sessions went to a reception (organized by the Obama White House) and didn't report that as a "meeting". No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Try checking out the information on CAMH.ca--search for"Do You Know...heroin" "Not all people who experiment with heroin become addicted. Some use the drug only on occasion, such as on weekends, without increasing the dose. With regular use, however, tolerance develops to the effects of the drug, and more and more heroin is needed to achieve the desired effect. Continuous use of increasing amounts of the drug inevitably leads to physical dependence." Note the emphasis on the high risk "with regular use". Of course it's not a casual decision to make, or an uninformed one, but it ain't black magic either. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Of course you don't....you merely tell me that, since I don't "accept Jesus as my Personal Savior, God condemns me." Great....all you are is "God's messenger" delivering the "word." "You are lost", but "you can be found"......"if and only if, you "see the light" and believe like we do. " But obviously in this topic you are unable to understand," Of course, if I "understood" then, clearly, I'd agree with you.... Such a position leaves absolutely NO room for discussion...there's nothing to discuss is there......I'm ABSOLUTELY wrong, you're ABSOLUTELY right....I'm going to Hell, you're going to Heaven......case closed. I tend towards the ranked ballot system. What I abhor is a situation where the count was wrong, the vote-master made really dumb decisions and then tried making several self-contradicting excuses, and the real ballots were destroyed. None of that would happen in a properly managed system, but since the cpc organized this there's very little surprise it's mis-managed. My point is that pickings are slim in Ontario at the moment. None of the three parties offer thoughtful, manageable, effective plans for transformation as we face immediate transformation. Politics has so poisoned itself, we're not attracting the best or brightest to run for office and have landed here - with this weak, ineffective, out-of-touch Cabinet, and both Opposition parties that offer nothing more. I believe empathy precedes mercy, and lord knows Francis is having a hard enough time promoting a merciful application of "official" Catholicism. (We see a remarkable lack of empathy in this forum when some get on their white horse of righteousness, waving flags of rules and laws. Funny that Jesus was associated with the humble donkey in the Gospels.) No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

And if we dare carry this life-affirming perspective to its logical moral conclusion, we must also declare that a civilized society does not kill anyone, for any reason, period." You wont get any disagreement from me; however, "...if we dare carry this life-affirming perspective to its logical moral conclusion..." we will treat as sacred the ecology of life from which we come and to which we return. A civilized nation does not kill the common ecology on which it and all life depend. Our consumption habits are culpably ignorant of and blind to the sacred relationship of all life in nature; and our self-arrogation over all other life is totally out-of-proportion to what global ecology can sustain. We must restrain our appetites - and our numbers - if we hope to insure a sustainable ecology/ future. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked
