Parents are a child first and best teachers. Yes, even a great parent can give birth to a sociopath or psychopath. The age old question was the sociopath/psychopath "born" or "made". I believe research shows that it can be both. A old book but still relevant is " High Risk: Children Without A Conscience” by Ken Magid. Parents know their child best or they should, and they are the people who can see the signs long before something bad happens. I remember attending a Catholic school in the late 1950's (not a Catholic) where we had a ethics class starting in the sixth grade. I doubt many if any schools teach it now and as a parent I would want to know what it was they were teaching. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Just take the question of whether or not people can get adequate healthcare COMPLETELY OFF THE TABLE in favor of just providing it already. And, do it in a way the spreads the burden across America, without literal or figurative exemptions. It is the cost of the benefits of being in America, being protected by an American military, driving on paved American roads, etc. THEN, after that basic need is provided for, worry about the other stuff. FUNDAMENTAL to the American Government's duty is to provide for the HEALTH, SAFETY and WELFARE of its citizenry. What constitutes Safety and Welfare, to me, is subject to argument. What constitutes "Health" simply is not. Healthcare is a simply up and down, black and white, no questions asked proposition. And, WE, the United States, have the very clear and simple resources, ability and know-how to provide it better than anywhere else in the world. The fact "health" of Americans is a political. . . She managed to teach us how to learn things on our own with weekly trips to the local libraries including university libraries. It helped a great deal that she was college educated with a Master's degree and knew how to inspire us to read a great deal and learn how to learn. She was a divorced working mother and I owe my success in life to her encouragement and dedication to education. My wife and I raised a son and daughter in the public schools and we both helped them to learn how to learn. Were we totally happy with the public schools they attended in the Mat-Su. Not so much. However there were more good things about their education than bad and they both have amazing and rewarding careers going for them. With help from us and some very good teachers they both learned how to learn and will continue to learn. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

I don't see any difference between how things played out this year and most of the years in the Dan O'Dowd regime. This was basically a post season cup of coffee, when compared to the last and only Rocktober. Any speculation about individual players is just about pointless, until a GM with a track record of shrewdly evaluating and signing talent is obtained. This is largely because the window on the current group of players that have actually performed well is closing and another off season patch job is not going to take them much further than this year. If the owners need guidance to see what it takes to be successful, they don't have to look outside of town. All they need to do is get in their car and drive to the Broncos front office. They would find they consider a run of this many early eliminations as nothing else but a complete embarrassment. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Besides the CBR, there is at least another 10 billion available in cash and easily liquidated assets. If the budget gap is narrowed to 3 billion, that gives us six years of grace. This is mainly due to a policy decision by the Ontario government. It doesn’t relate in any way to dampening demand pressures. The old CPIX operational guide excluded most energy prices from core inflation, but, unlike the original operational guide, CPIXFET, it did not exclude electricity. This is part of why CPIX had a 1.1% inflation rate in April while CPIXFET was probably at 1.5%. (For some reason, it is never updated with most of the other CPI series, but rather the week after.) Excluding electricity, CPIX would have shown a 1.2% inflation rate for April. If there are special reasons for taking another component out of an exclusionary core inflation measure like CPIX it can always be done. It is more difficult to justify doing this for a measure like CPI-common, which on principle is supposed to include everything and exclude nothing. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

The “so-called veterans’ pension ruse” is reported in the dossier to be the way that Russia arranged to pay hackers and others who were involved in the presidential election operation. That report is dated September 14th and, as it turns out, Kalugin actually left DC and returned to Russia in August. Even more significantly, here is what McClatchy reported about Kalugin last month. A Russian diplomat who worked in the Washington embassy left the country last August while federal investigators examined whether he played a key covert role No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Either you accept the facts reported or you don't. It makes no sense to say you don't trust what you read but you base your opinions on it anyway. On an unrelated topic.... why does everyone think they're part of this "silent majority"? If they're silent, how do you know they agree with you? Isn't it enough that you have faith in your own views? Why do you need to manufacture support to validate it? I don't know if anybody agrees with me or not. I'm simply expressing what I believe to be true. Do you think your imaginary supporters lend you credibility? If that's the case, I think all the ants in the world agree with me.... and ants outnumber people, so by definition I win. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

In fact, a court previously held (long before the Preserve was established or the NPS started dreaming up ways to keep Alaskans out) that the bed of the river was in fact State land. Thus Mr. Sturgeon was on State land, not federal land, when over-zealous park rangers decided to assume non-existent authority. Sturgeon will ultimately win this case at SCOTUS level and the liberal activists that comprise the 9th Circuit will once again be slapped down. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked
