But our oil state think they can live on fantasy economics and not cut staff significantly. Sorry, that makes no sense. The state has to come to terms with fiscal reality and cut staff, cut pension payouts, cut agencies (like AHFC, AIDEA, AGDC), cut oil tax credits and truly (not smoke and mirrors) cut the state operating budget. Until all that is done and the state employee roll is around 12,000 ... don't waste people's time talking about an income tax.
