Considering the amount of fiction and non-fiction information out there I can understand why, where, you stand on issues. Kamehameha Schools wields considerable influence because of their financial status in the State and else where in the world. You helped with your information to elaborate more on it's outreach. I can tell that although you say it does not bother you as much, you seem think skinned with regard to the term, haole. My family consists of all ethnicity's, my immediate family consists of my haole wife and my two hapa haole son's. I happen to be a great grandfather of two great grandchildren. This "haole" theme seems to dominate much of your concerns?, and your responses seem to be swayed by that feeling. Although you say you've been a resident of Hawaii for sometime, I got the feeling that you've really kept your distance with the locals. Still, I appreciate many things you called to my attention, thanks. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Better go alone and one day before I die. Just kidding. Must be so good there's a loooooong line. In Vegas the best buffet was reported to be in the Bellagio Casino. Went there and the line extended from the restaurant, down the halls, through the checkin desks, out the front doors, and onto the sidewalk on two outdoor sides of the casino. I came alone and was able to sneak in by saying I needed to visit the restroom. But all the counter seats were taken along with all the tables. I returned to the MGM Grande and ate at the coffee shop. Mo beddah eat at Ko Olina. It's here and looks delicious. Love to show my wife and kids how much I love them by treating them to Hawaii's own buffet. Yum Yum! Eat 'em up! | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

The times and economic circumstances have changed. Oil prices and oil production are down, and they are not going back up - not ever. Despite what Trump and his charlatans may say, the era of fossil fuels is coming to an end, and the world is moving on to renewable energies. It's time for Alaska to find new sources of revenues and to get rid of the PFD entitlement program altogether. That's just the reality based truth of the matter. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Having said that, this commentary has little basis in fact. We aren't even 5 months into a 4 year term. I agree that Trump was grandiose in his promises of the first 100 days, but we're big boys and girls - we understand what the reality is. At this point, the reality is that the Republicans in Congress are not on board with the President on his agenda, and haven't been since day 1. The odd thing is that quite a few ran on many of the same issues and are now the ones recalcitrant to enact their promises. They ALL ran on some form of a repeal of Obamacare. Their failure to have a bill ready that the Republican Conference was ready to pass quickly is a showcase for the real problem. Paul Ryan & Mitch McConnell and the rest of the establishment republicans are the swamp-things that are keeping the agenda many voted for from passing. They also need to beat down the Democrats' lies. My reality is that Trump is the anti-Hillary. Add in Gorsuch, and I say we won. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

All the left-wing, bleeding heart libocrats, media hypes, and hollyweirdos do not understand the meaning of the term war. It is the complete and total annihilation of the enemy. We have been "playing war" ever since WWII with "rules of engagement", limited collateral damage, etc., at the expense of our own troops. You'd better believe that "rocket man" (gotta love that) understands the meaning of war and would not hesitate to completely annihilate the USA and any of our allies. If we continue to play at war, those whackos I listed above won't be able to prevent the horror from coming to their front door. They can horde their money and wail and whine about all things difficult, but as once was said, "It does no good to be the richest man in the cemetery". | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Perhaps we should already start to fund the contingency account for when we are sued by the victims of these Khadr-funded Islamist groups for giving him the money that foreseeably led to their victimization. Of course, when it comes to Trudeau, foreseeability of what might result from his actions, thoughts and musings isn't his strong suit, as the massive lineup of new "refugee" claimants cropping up everywhere can attest. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

While that isn't great it still gets us in the range. And for integrated producers who also own refineries, their overall profits, while reduced, are substantial. The part of the article that is pure poppycock is the part about wind and electric cars. Barack Obama's energy information administration projects that even with the most aggressive campaign and subsidies for renewable energy, our energy mix will still be 70% fossil fuels by 2050, and that counts 10% for nuclear which the greenies also don't like. Electric cars still need energy, that electricity isn't just coming out of the wall. And when you do a full life cycle environmental audit of all the heavy metals, acids and other toxic chemicals it takes to make all those batteries, electric cars are a net loser. (although it would be great for our mining industry.) You can't suspend the laws of thermodynamics. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

God told the Israelintes to drive-out or kill everyone who inhabited the land because of their wickedness and idolatry and it was when they failed to do that, made treaties or mixed nad inter-married with them that they began adopting idol worship and lost the blessings of God. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Bricks of bitumen are safe to carry and if the transport should crash and spill, there is no danger of a flash fire. Pick up the bricks and carry on. I understand your concerns, but most publications just don't have the time and/or resources to hire moderators to monitor the comments 24/7. A few very large sites have full-time staffs dedicated to this, but they spend over $1 million per year on moderation, yet still must limit the number of comments they publish due to staffing constraints. By rating other comments, commenters take an active role in shaping the community they want to see. Our algorithms on the backend track suspicious activity and try to prevent biased votes, automatically warning users and restricting accounts as needed. You contend that someone's racist or threatening comments are "theirs" and therefore worthy of publishing, but our stance can be summarized in the old adage, "my right to extend my fist ends where your face begins." We still see plenty of angry, spirited debate, fortunately! But it's more focused on attacking ideas, instead of people. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Low-dose aspirin is not recommended for everyone, particularly not those who are not at elevated risk of stroke, and it's also not suitable for those who are more likely to experience bleeding. Recommendations will differ for each individual, and should be made by the person's doctor with consideration of his/her health history. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

The article makes a euphemistic, barely-detectable reference to Vancouver as one of a handful of "gateway cities". Hello? Why such hesitation to spell it out more clearly, to simply call a spade a spade? Look, Vancouver is unaffordable because overseas money is flooding in year after year, skyrocketing house prices to dozens of times the average annual local income, gobbling up housing supply away from people with local jobs, making many of their lives a financial impossibility, thus they move hundreds or thousands of miles away (stories like the opening of the article), displaced by overseas money in a top-bidder-from-overseas mechanism that governments in Canada are fine with and are doing nothing effective to stop. Spell it out, already! They are so tiresome to read, your worn-out euphemisms and your unmentioned elephants... | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Every country in t…Canada has rules on immigration and if those rules are not followed, then the person immigrating will be turned down and sent home. Every country in the world does this as a minimum and many countries allow zero immigration into their country with many having complete restrictions on outsiders ever becoming a citizen. In the USA however, there are millions of illegal immigrants, not documented, not processed and not vetted. Yet Canadian liberals seem to agree with US liberals that following government rules is not fair and then attack the GOP for their stance. If Canadian liberals are backing the US's Democrats stance on immigration, does that mean that Canada will become a borderless country with no immigration process or requirements? I would like our PM to clarify Canada's stance on immigration for our future. The people need to know if we are setting Canada up to be an open borderless region?
