This is one of the most adaptable animals in North America, they are living in portions of NY City! Just because you don't see them does not mean they are not there, these are smart wild animals. Many missing pets are possible meals. And everyone should know we have wolves here too, but they are not nearly as bold as the coyotes and mostly stay on the distant outskirts of Anchorage. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

All she cares about is the value of the permit she paid probably six figures to hold falling from the increase in the supply of new permits. She knows full well an increase in supply will lower prices. The interests of the permit holders are at odds with the interests of the public. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Cons push for many initiatives and are debased by the media at every turn and then media continually harass until the Cons fail. Liberals knowing that the Cons would do it anyway, go out and implement most of the same programs, and they get this soft blessing from the media. The funny thing is that the Liberals are generally happy with this scenario. I guess anything for power is the moto. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

As a Canadian of Canadian descent back to 1840, I was forced to relate to a culture of my non Canadian ancestors when in fact I am Canadian. The "where are you from" question is still being asked because we are diverse. As a child of Canadian born parents and Canadian born grandparents, Canadian great great great grandparents, I had no answer. Amongst the Trudeau statement about diversity he fails to articulate the details. Should those of us born in Canada not be proud of our Canadian ancestory? In my opinion all of us need to forge a Canadian culture regardless of our birth nation. Don't throw the baby out with the dishwater. Whether you are indigenous, pioneer settlers, English or French speaking or immigrant we can all work together to continuing the Canadian culture and our artists will reflect the values or present cogent perspectives on our ever evolving Canadian culture. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

It shouldn't be the subject of politics, and definitely NOT partisan politics, wherein the questions becomes WHETHER American Citizens can have access to the country's collective and maximum ability to provide healthcare. The choice, the act of "freedom", should be whether or not to go see the doctor. Not whether or not one can have the means to go see the doctor, and then not over what level of doctor competence can be available. This debate reveals the flaw in the idea/concept of an exceptional America. It literally makes life and death a political football, and has led to the embracing of imposing "death" (as a substantial and real risk) as a politically vogue thing to do. There's just something psychologically wrong with anyone who would make that a choice when it need not be. The effort and aspiration should, for a normally thinking, empathetic human being, how to find a way to give the service, not deny it. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

It …In past election cycles, the voters, have been led to believe the tax returns of all the candidates give us some great insight to the individual.. It would be a greater value for me to know simply how much they give to charity. Which is always one of the big talking points of a candidate. The tax return of the first member of the Romney family to run for president were the first ones released during a campaign. It was a publicity stunt that saw little scrutiny by voters or the press. Today a candidates tax return is a blood sport. In reality have any of these tax returns ever actually undergo a conclusive investigation proving they are the full and complete final filings. NO. I've seen enough bogus tax returns to know it is not complicated to produce one with whatever you want it to say. The IRS does not care what you put out to the public. It is only concerned with what you actuly submit to them. Ask your banker if they ever see false returns used to qualify for a loan. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Yet like all her other scandals, they act like it didn't even happen. From what I can read on the definition of a non-confidence vote (historical no less) is that the government is too incompetent or too corrupt to govern. I don't think it is something to be ignored or glossed over. What are they going to put by her name in Wikipedia beside the first non-confidence vote at a Provincial level in Canadian history? What's with the fluff and contrived walks leading to some kind of insightful discoveries? NO. She was ousted and ousted for good reason. Will they tell us the reasons. No they will not. But the truth will come out. Woe to a government that will not follow the laws and is prone to nothing but deception and extremism. That's Clark's style. It does not reflect the interests of BC in the least. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

The black community knows it…"If you owned a business and had to choose between a slacker and an achiever, which would you hire?" Clear as a bell. The black community knows it has a problem, but Kristoff points out that the way out of that hole is made harder by the people who carry an unconsious bias. We've seen many constructive and talented black people in all professions. There is nothing debilitating in skin color. This site talks about individual rights all the time, yet stereotypes those they don't like, the opposite of honoring the individual. I hope Kristoff's article also gets read in the black community. The leadership of the black community needs to step forward as leaders and roll models. It would help - but so would an awareness by the white community to be a little more conscious of their preset bias. People can make conscious choices to change. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Now that the public from coast to coast is furious, the Bombardier higher-ups will not get their gross and filthy pay raises. That is good. But furthermore I think the taxpayer who has been funding this company should have the right to have the loans cancelled if the leaders of bombardier keep behaving without conscience. By the way today in Montreal, there will be a protest against Bombardier at head office. Public wants to tell Bombardier they have no right to pay raises until all the loans from taxpayers have been paid back. That is unequivocally your choice to make and I wish you the best of luck and hope you never need it...the luck or the gun. I'm with you on carrying concealed as opposed to open carry under most circumstances. While at a firearms training institute during a 4 day course where participants are screened, open carry is the norm. It's a bit odd at first but you quickly get used to it; even seeing a 12 year-old with a semiautomatic handgun strapped to his or her hip; adults nearby, of course. Some teachers were born and raised on our island, and some came from elsewhere and stayed. The slow-paced country lifestyle is not for everyone, especially for the young. But it offers these recruits an opportunity to learn, not only from our veteran teachers but through the eyes and hearts of our EA's. A rare opportunity for most dedicated to the education of our children. I am also convinced that rural health is an experience that adds a certain ingredient to the shaping of our young doctors as well, not one obtained from having a lot of the modern conveniences of science at hand, but by learning to do with the basics...their education and training and an experienced staff of PNs and CPAs. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Architecturally savvy John Reynolds mentioned it could be reasonable to build a covered open arena like indoor market needs (with solar electric cells on roof). Require free meeting space like EWEB had! Similar to Lane Fairgrounds Farmers Market, less space could be used than outdoors; some farmers would consign value added items & food to booths. Or buy a church as NEDCO SPROUT did: Springfield figured out a year round market first. It is inappropriate that a fave riverfront space be sold to developers. Will wannabee retired river gazers want to hear rails if $$$ are not spent on noise? Good Feng Shui to view OUR river, do biz at City Hall, bike. It may attract employees and be Eugene Celebration's permie site. Sigh. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |
