He wants Americans to live free of "nanny" government as he and his VP Weld put it. I like that he supports gay rights AND gun rights while opposing the irresponsible side of the spending our government does. He's also not a republican or a democrat, which I like. I feel that he can help put an end to, or at least curb, party politics. Madison said that factions are bad for America, and I think he's right. Allowing two parties to be our only voice is damaging. Put a third party in the mix and we might be able to get something done. Especially if that third party represents the best parts of both of our current leading parties. Karyn misrepresents (misunderstands) the hoax: it was not "a premeditated plan to discredit HuffPo"; it was a test of journalistic integrity. The Huff could have passed by doing a fact check or source check or sanity check but it didn't because when it comes to bashing white men, it lacks journalistic integrity. I never said repeal and replace it within 64 days,” Trump said. “I have a long time.” Last February, Trump pledged he would “immediately” get rid of the law, and he repeated that pledge dozens of times during the election. Trump twittering: @realDonaldTrump We will immediately repeal and replace ObamaCare - and nobody can do that like me. We will save $'s and have much better healthcare! 1:15 PM - 9 Feb 2016 “We all learned a lot,” he reminisced. No, he learned what he never knew. Everybody else already knew it. Who came up with it. Why there was a presiding Lane County Court judge involved with his Oregon Complex Litigation Court managing skills (Civic Stadium). And why another Oregon Complex Litigation Court manager and Coos County judge will decide the fate of the Skinner Donation Land Deed. And what any of this has to do with a new full time Farmers Market complex that wants to be a Butterfly. SkinnerInDeed.com No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

His reasoning is like that of the abusive parent who celebrates their kindness through a brief cessation of the beatings. He neglects to mention the crustacean fishery in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands that was fished into a zero limit prior to the creation of the Coral Reef Ecosystem Reserve, or the large fishing vessel that ran aground on once pristine Rose Atoll driving the need for a large vessel exclusion zone and nearly killing the amazing reef. Or how about the long liners in the NWHI that spray painted seabirds and beat monk seals with clubs thus driving the need for the creation of the monk seal exclusion zone? I won't even get into the untold number of lawsuits that forced the Council to act on everything from sea turtle protection and gear modification to vessel monitoring systems. Yes, pardon this infomercial interruption, the beatings will commence shortly. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Door-to-door costs all of us $175.00 more to deliver to a homeowner’s door than to a community mailbox or apartment mail panel. Yet, everyone in Canada pays the same postage rates regardless of what services they get. So for those communities that want door-to-door service, they should be able to pay for that extra service so that those other folks who don’t get door-to-door service are not subsidizing that extra cost through their postage rates. Folks could simply vote by city block or even postal code. So let's say that there are 20 homes on that block, then we have 20 votes to be cast. If the block decides to keep their door-to-door service for around .67 cents a day or $3.50 a week, then that cost is added onto the home owner's property tax and at the end of the year, the municipality cuts Canada Post a cheque. These include Secretary of Defense Mattis, and Secretary of State Tillerson who have publicly expressed their views, and they have said that there are other members of Trump's cabinet who share their views, along with some members of Trump's council of economic advisors who believe in man-affected climate change including the Chair, and two members who quit after Trump pulled out of the Accords. What about the heads of major businesses like GM, 3M, and many more, who advised Trump to remain in the Paris Accord. This is not just a left or right issue. No flagNo flagAllowNo actionChecked

Most of those panhandlers you see are homeless; and many of the homeless panhandle to get enough money to survive another day. Your effort to artifically separate the two has no basis in fact. As usual, I'm more than willing to debate this issue or any other issue with you or anyone else. Disagreements on issues are part of life in a democracy. At the same time, I will confront ad hominem attacks from you or anyone else. Please notice that you were unable to address TimMueller's post without including such a personal attack. Such attacks serve no constructive purpose and distract from the discussion of the issues. The problem befor…We do need a greater presence in the cultural sphere -- preferably much greater -- but there are better and worse ways to pursue it. The problem before conservative writers, artists, movie makers, etc. is that the discovery process is: 1) expensive, and 2) trial-and-error. The independent writers' movement could be of value. These are writers who have disdained the conventional publishing industry in favor of going straight to the customer in eBook form. There's also an independent filmmakers' movement, which is still laying a foundation for its efforts. It will take time to learn whether these currents are having an effect worth the time, money, and labor that's going into them. We have already learned that effort spent attempting to penetrate the heavily fortified walls of existing cultural outlets is wasted. No doubt more lessons are coming.
