All one has to do is ask for a list of credible news sources. Really, it's that simple. Of course, a list is never provided, and can never be provided because the point of intentionally crafted misdirection is not to lead us TO sources of information, the point of such misdirection is to lead us AWAY from sources of information, and leave us as victims of the propagandist. (Yes, friends, there are actually classes on this particular technique of "managing" online discussion forums.) If the propagandist simply keeps "shooting the messengers", eventually the only only word left is that of the propagandist. Often, there will be two working in tandem; one to negate reports ("no one knows!"), the other to offer speculative--but, again, unreferenced--alternatives which fit the propagandists' agenda ("I have heard...read...Everyone knows..."). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_warfare | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

Fifty-seven per cent of respondents cited the political environment as a source of stress. Or maybe it's because they have to continually read articles by "journalists" with TDS. To see the REAL argument of the piece requires comprehension of the written word. Based on your statement, I'd suggest a little remedial work is in order! The real argument: Most of us can get along without knowing how equipment works. How'd the ol' rotary phone work? Millions didn't know, but used it anyway. How does my TV work? Don't know. But I can use it. Smart phone? Same thing. You don't need smarts, just incentive ("I gotta connect with my friends!") Most of us can determine what we "actually need and figure out how to do it." People like me sit at a computer for hours all day, and not have a clue how it works. That's not important to us. FINDING KNOWLEDGE through the net--or which "apps" are appropriate for our lives, is the key for most of us. Meetcha half-way: Two years of "coding" basics for Middle School kids. They want more? If Mr. Sturgeon were denied access by other means than a hovercraft, there should be concerns, however he was not denied such access. Hovercraft can move over shallow water and over land. The potentially damaging aspects of hovercraft go beyond waters. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

It's NOT a law OR a bill. It's a TAX. A tax being imposed on others because SOME 20 year olds didn't realize that by adding 50 years to themselves would make them 70 years old and those same 20 years olds did nothing to plan FOR THE EXPECTED. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

The Church uses …No one who denies Evolution gets to quote 90% of biologists. College level embryology texts show why gastrulation is a better marker. The Church uses conception only because of uncertainty, but most embryological researchers who do stem cell research say gastrulation is the more important point. From my experience with the movement in former days, it was the Thou Shalt Not Kill directive that motivates them. They also see the Sixth Commandment as the source of all prohibitions from masturbation to sodomy. I agree with neither, by the way and still assert, as do many, that Old Testament moral teaching was natural law based and so can be overcome by modern natural law reason based on new knowledge. Quit claiming to be the voice of the Church when representing its reactionary voice. If being a reactionary causes you to be rude, return to your echo chamber and pray quietly. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

If you rent, you are paying property tax in your rent to fund schools and education, possibly road repairs, water & sewer upgrades which are all conveniences for personal comfort and sanitation. It's very similar to supporting a church with your tithes or giving, you can be putting God before and in many others lives, feeding the poor and hungry, providing help to those without in many various forms. | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |

If you donate $100 to the CPC, $75 gets refunded to you in the form of a tax credit. In other words 75% of your donation to the CPC is funded by the taxpayer. The same for donations to the Liberals and to the NDP. It has nothing to do with running deficits. A tax dollar is a tax dollar regardless of whether a Govt is running a surplus or a deficit. Do we get someone elected who will vote for conservative principles, in the face of strong controversial press coverage, or, do we get someone elected who is decidedly un-controversial, and may not support a good portion of what is conservative in nature? Do we get a sure majority that ensures the prevention of wild eyed Democrat, far left policy, but allows for a great deal of improper policy, that looks decidedly Democrat-lite? Or, do we go for the brass ring, running real conservatives that, should they win, ensure solid conservative voting? Clearly, the former is a delaying strategy, unlikely to EVER yield positive results, rather, aimed at mitigating negative results. The latter is the goal, though it brings some risk. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. McConnell is only interested in playing safe, not getting results. What say you? | No flag | No flag | Allow | No action | Checked |
