I bought this place in 2015 December and we are new to Canada, just over 2 years and 4 months now. I have some USD funds and some Canadian savings now (Approximately $40000), planing to invest in RESP and some other accounts soon and $10000 towards yearly mortgage anniversary payment.. Our last year mortgage statement shows we paid almost $13000 to the Interest and $10000 to the Principal i believe or the other way round.
